St. Patrick’s Day, California Style

I recently realized that, with all of my articles on resumes and interviews… I just haven’t been posting about all of my adventures and travels anymore.

So, to the many friends I’ve had the pleasure of making all of the world, sorry!

And here’s a step in the right direction ❤

We have our very own Dublin in California, and, like their namesake, they like to feel the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day! Dublin, Ca put on a 2-day fair of their own, complete with a parade on Saturday. I unfortunately couldn’t drive there on Saturday, but I did get to go enjoy the festivities Sunday.

Following, a few feature snippets:

Ferris wheels, merry-go-rounds, ands other rides aside, one of the funnest parts of the fair was… what would I call it… an outdoor mall? There was a whole section full of small stands selling diverse wares, not unlike a Renaissance Faire, come to think of it.

I have to admit I really loved the animal puppets and mini-purses =]

The best part of the fair was undoubtedly the live entertainment though! Dublin hired and flew out Celtica, an Irish rock band, all the way from Ireland!

Think American rock bands rock hard? Check their female vocalist out.

Linkin Park and Incubus Live at the Shoreline!

Had the best best start to a weekend ever last night: saw my favorite band live at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, and got to enjoy some of Incubus’ greatest hits too! =]

I didn’t take too many pictures or videos since I wanted to “live in the moment” and enjoy it, but here’s a little something for you guys too ❤

And now for some videos =]

That’s all for now folks ❤

Mumford & Son’s Gentlemen of the Road = Kick-Ass Traveling Rock Festival

A friend took me to THE COOLEST event ever last weekend!! Mumford & Sons‘ Gentlemen of the Road. This really cool traveling music festival’s 4th and last stop was at the Monterey Country Fairgrounds Saturday August 25th and I got tickets ^^

The Monterey Country Faigrounds were an amazing venue!

All the bands (there were ~7) kept reminding us that Jimi Hendrix played there!

Aside from the food/beer, getting our passports stamped and, of course, the bands, there was also a sweet mix of people with eclectic style — let’s just say I did some people watching O=]

The guys really got the best out of the Fairgrounds — they used one of the areas to showcase local banjo makers and musicians ^^

One of the coolest things at GOTR: there were 6 or so hamacs for people to chill in!Mumford has some really cool designers — they had a really laid-back, old America style deco throughout the place…Haim was by far one of the coolest bands I’ve ever seen play live! And the blonde has such great stage presence! It’s too bad I didn’t take a video of some of her funny ramblings =]

The Apache Relay seemed like one of the most popular bands! Gotta admit the lead singer is yummy O=]

This was the funnest band at GOTR!! Their style was like Romanian folk music meets rock and their crazy antics were so entertaining!! =D

Last but not least, Mumford finally came on around 9.

The lights for the show were just gorgeous =]

Had to snap a few more pix of the fairground son my out O=]

Found an Awesome Brunch Place in SF: Bullitt

I went out to Ruby Sky for the Kaskade after party last weekend and one of my coworkers who lives nearby took us to the coolest brunch places the next morning: Bullit.

This place is located on Russian Hill up in SF and is just the coolest joint to get brunch after a good night of dancing / partying! They play hip music, serve cocktails (silly me… I tried to get hot chocolate — they don’t have any!)

I ended up with a grapefruit mimosa (which was delicious!! =3) and the food was great too! Check out their menu:

I’m a sucker for eggs benedict so I just had to try it… and boy, I was not disappointed! =3 Definitely check this place out next time you’re up in SF ❤
