This Is How You Do Friendsgiving!

So… I was originally going to write a blog post about how startup types, etc. can get in touch with the tech companies at RocketSpace since we’ve been getting tons of random walk-ins recently, but my new buddy Kien made this AMAAAAAZING (not enough A’s on this keyboard!) video documentary/lip-synch musical/interpretive dance scrapbook of the shenanigans and festivities that went down at Becky’s Friendsgiving up in Geyserville last weekend… and this just seemed so much more awesome than anything I could possibly write that I had to share it!

So crack a beer, sit on down on your couch, and get ready to dance along!

I loooove Bruce's ginger ale! They have it at the Imperial Tea Court, which was, coincidentally, at the stand right next door.

We went on a little tour of the Ferry Building afterwards and stumbled upon this charming shop with cheddar biscuits. Yup! You read that correctly.

Mumford & Son’s Gentlemen of the Road = Kick-Ass Traveling Rock Festival

A friend took me to THE COOLEST event ever last weekend!! Mumford & Sons‘ Gentlemen of the Road. This really cool traveling music festival’s 4th and last stop was at the Monterey Country Fairgrounds Saturday August 25th and I got tickets ^^

ย The Monterey Country Faigrounds were an amazing venue!

All the bands (there were ~7) kept reminding us that Jimi Hendrix played there!

Aside from the food/beer, getting our passports stamped and, of course, the bands, there was also a sweet mix of people with eclectic style — let’s just say I did some people watching O=]

The guys really got the best out of the Fairgrounds — they used one of the areas to showcase local banjo makers and musicians ^^

One of the coolest things at GOTR: there were 6 or so hamacs for people to chill in!Mumford has some really cool designers — they had a really laid-back, old America style deco throughout the place…Haim was by far one of the coolest bands I’ve ever seen play live! And the blonde has such great stage presence! It’s too bad I didn’t take a video of some of her funny ramblings =]

The Apache Relay seemed like one of the most popular bands! Gotta admit the lead singer is yummy O=]

This was the funnest band at GOTR!! Their style was like Romanian folk music meets rock and their crazy antics were so entertaining!! =D

Last but not least, Mumford finally came on around 9.

The lights for the show were just gorgeous =]

Had to snap a few more pix of the fairground son my out O=]

Happiness Is In the Little Moments

Those unimportant, short-lived moments where you just live. Moments that help you forget your worries and keep track of what’s important =]

Nice weather and music do that for me! I had a pretty stressful day (an event I’ve been working on at work is happening tomorrow so it’s the last minute crazies, and one of my coworkers was pretty frustrating ><‘) but there was sunshine during lunch and the breeze made me wanna sing on the walk home, so it was still a good day =]

Plus, I saw a really big, happy dog in the elevator! He jumped up and hugged me =]

What did you enjoy today? What was your moment of peace and happiness?
