Phelps discovering the wonders of tea.
First of all, thank you very much to the many friends who heard about KitTea, immediately thought of me, and sent me links to articles.
So what’s all this hullabaloo about KitTea anywho? Sometime in summer of 2014, San Francisco will follow the example of cat lovers and tea afficionados in Japan and finally get its very own cat cafe.
A huge shout out to Courtney Hatt and David Braginsky, the founders, for working with local animals shelters to help cafe patrons adopt felines they develop a special bond with.
I’ll definitely be getting in line to sip some tea, nibble on sandwiches, and make some new purry friends once this place opens up!
KitTea has gotten a very nice amount of press already – check out these articles and their website to find out more:

Have you missed Phelps as much as you missed me?
Phelps went to kitty day care for the very first time yesterday! Well… kind of. I spent the day with him at my boyfriend’s place while my apartment building was being treated for cockroaches. (Yuck, I know!)
He had a grand old day exploring ALL stories of my baby’s apartment…
He found a great view from the balcony
Phelps even tried to get into the washing machine! Could be a great alternative to kitty shampoos in my bathtub 😄
He did a little trapeze act for me….
And finally passed out on the roommate’s chair ❤
My kitty, Turkey, hasn’t come home in 2 days =/
Please let me know if you see him!!!

Do you know what rocks even more than nyan cat though? Nyan cat key chains, christmas tree ornaments, and other memorabilia so you can rock out whenever you have something to celebrate. (At Contract Live, we dance to nyan cat whenever we make a sale =] )
Cute, huh? =]

And a last for the road ❤
I’ve been busy working on my CV (cutticulum vitae–European version of a resume) and cover letter, researching job openings, and taking care of administrative chores to set myself up in France while staying at my maternal grandparents’ house, but I finally got the chance to go visit my other grandparents. I took the opportunity to take a few pictures to show you their cute apartment and kitty =3
Speaking of the kitty... I found a cute little present when I entered my room! His name is Douxchat.
Douxchat was very sweet and played top model for me throughout my short stay.
He likes to take naps on my grandpa's desk...
... play on my grandma's piano...
... and have tea time in the living room with my grandparents!
And there you have it! A quick tour of my grandparents’ apartment as Douxchat sees it =]
