Should I Create a Shop on Etsy?

I’ve been getting back into arts & crafts lately and considering putting up a storefront on Etsy to sell my wares.

The hair clips have been getting some compliments… but I have no idea whether people would actually want to buy them and how much they would be willing to pay for them, so I thought I’d open this up to discussion =]

Here’s a pic:

Great Store in San Pedro Square Market!

I found the coolest store in San Pedro Square Market this weekend: Ay Dios Mio!

San Pedro Square Market

Ay Dios Mio!

The owner, Rose, is really sweet and gets tons of cool stuff from all over the world! Right now the theme is el dio de los muertos — check it out!!

She’s also got some great artwork!

Last, but not least, there are some great accessories! And yes, if you want me to ship you something I’ll help you O=]

Gotta end on a sweet note ;D

Rose is hosting a Girls’ Night with Crafty Chica Kathy Murillo this Saturday — the perfect opportunity to stop by ❤

Pics From Today

Today I realized that I haven’t been posting many pictures from my day-to-day life (which I like to think make my friends happy ^^) so here are a few pictures I took for y’all today ❤

I'm not sure what I like more about this picture, the Vespa (?) or the shoe store right behind it

Walked by this storefront on my way home from work and thought it was cute ^^

These remind me of the stairs that lead up to l'Eglise du Sacré Coeur.

I’m showing some Japanese friends around there this weekend so I’ll take more pictures. That’s all for now O=]

Nyan Cat Rocks!

Do you know what rocks even more than nyan cat though? Nyan cat key chains, christmas tree ornaments, and other memorabilia so you can rock out whenever you have something to celebrate. (At Contract Live, we dance to nyan cat whenever we make a sale =] )

Cute, huh? =]

Here’s the link for the rest of them:

And a last for the road ❤

My Grandparents’ House in the French Countryside

Now that I’ve shown you my paternal grandparents’ apartment, why don’t I show you my other grandparents’ house? It is the place I moved into after all. My mom’s parents live in a cute house in the French countryside (yet it’s still only 1 hour away from Paris. How convenient is that?!)

Isn't all the greenery pretty?

Here’s a look at their front door, which is actually in the backyard (the stairs from the front wind around to the back).

The little wooden gate is to keep my auntie's dog, Nala, from running off and getting lost when they visit.

The house is named after my mom and auntie, Franbelle. Francoise (my mom’s name) + Isabelle = Franbelle =]

Isn't the little plaque cute?

If you walk around the backyard to the front of the house (without taking the stairs back down) you find…

The frontyard! Complete with covered lunch table for those sweltering French summer days, trees and plants my grandpa babies, my granny relaxing reading a book, and me hard at work looking for work.

Now let’s take a look inside.

Here is the dining room my granny decorated so nicely.

And last, but not least, is my bedroom. Actually, it’s the room my mom usually sleeps in when we come visit but I took advantage of her absence to take over the room and nice, big, comfy bed! Sorry mom! This room is taken now =]

Maybe I should have cleaned a little more?

The town my grandparents live in is adorable. I’ll have to take some pictures soon and show you guys!

Quick Vacation at My Other Grandparents’ House

I’ve been busy working on my CV (cutticulum vitae–European version of a resume)  and cover letter, researching job openings, and taking care of administrative chores to set myself up in France while staying at my maternal grandparents’ house, but I finally got the chance to go visit my other grandparents. I took  the opportunity to take a few pictures to show you their cute apartment and kitty =3

Speaking of the kitty... I found a cute little present when I entered my room! His name is Douxchat.

Douxchat was very sweet and played top model for me throughout my short stay.

He likes to take naps on my grandpa's desk...

... play on my grandma's piano...

... and have tea time in the living room with my grandparents!

And there you have it! A quick tour of my grandparents’ apartment as Douxchat sees it =]

There are Such CUTE Things in France!

I don’t have much to say about the last 2 days since I mostly ran around taking care of errands, but I DID go shopping today and I saw tons of cute stuff! I actually thought I would be bored since I was just going to follow my grandmother around because I didn’t need to buy anything, but I actually had fun. Here are my favorite findings =]

Aren't these adorable?!

Can you tell what these are from the picture? They’re animal earmuffs ^^ I found them at this really cute small shop where they sold bags, notepads and costume jewelry/hair accessories. I now know where to go if I’m ever invited to a costume party!

These are for Katie because she loves bunnies!

I saw this and immediately thought of my friend Katie–look Katie! Now you’re going to have to come visit me in France =]

And last but not least…

More bunnies!

Who knows what this is? Special prize for the first person who guesses correctly in the blog message box.

I’m going to a BBQ where we’re going to be roasting a live pig tonight  (=/ poor piggy…) so I’ll do my best to take some interesting pictures and keep all of you posted about my adventures in France.
