Castle of Versailles, Part 2

Here’s the rest of the pictures from my and Alex’s visit to the Castle of Versailles.

Even the corners of the ceilings are decorated in the Castle of Versailles.

The King's throne was in front of the tapestry. Everyone had to bow in front of it, even when the kind wasn't there!

The windows from the King's apartments have a gorgeous view!

This is the mural in the War Room.

The Hall of Mirrors is one of the most beautiful and famous French sights. Louis 14th had it built so that his court could see him from everywhere in the room. A show of his grandeur and ego.

This fresco was at the top of one of the rooms.

This is the King's bedroom. People could come watch the ceremony of his waking every morning. Being King wasn't very private...

This golden decoration, perched atop the King's bed, symbolized France watching over the King as he slept.

This was where the King took care of government business.

This was the Queen's bedroom. Super girly with flowers everywhere.
